Recalling shooting an action sequence, Bobby Deol said, “When we were shooting, I had a sequence where I fought a tiger in Barsaat. At that time when the films were being made, there was this perception that he is Dharmendra’s son so there should be action, drama, romance, and songs. It felt like a showcase to show talent! My father was known for all these Tiger fights and how many times he has done it. I was playing a mountain boy and we were shooting in Mudumalai. Those days, animal cruelty wasn’t given attention. When they got the tiger, his lips were stitched. We were like ‘how can someone do this?’ We were so upset that we decided not to shoot it. My brother [Sunny Deol] said that we will shoot in Italy where there is someone who has his own zoo and in Hollywood films, his animals are used. When we went to Italy, I shot with the Tiger.”

After the Italy shoot, they moved to London to shoot some introduction scenes. “Then we went to London and Bhaiyya [Sunny Deol] thought that we could shoot more interesting scenes here. The first shot of the film was the last shot I filmed. That was the day I was galloping in the horse, I banged into another horse and broke my leg. I was on the ground at this beautiful venue and I couldn’t see anything. My brother was there and he was my strength. I know I was in trouble with my leg and I knew my brother would take care of me.”

“I was taken to the hospital and that doctor told my brother that we can’t save his leg. Then, the same night, my brother booked a private plane and flew me to another hospital in England. I don’t remember the hospital name but I could see the Lord’s Cricket Stadium from my hospital window.   I had already signed Gupt and even filmed the song ‘Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela’. But, all my song moments, later on, were all my hand movements. I couldn’t move because after my surgery, my leg wasn’t healing properly. I had to shoot with a broken leg. I broke my leg in August or September I think and next year in March, I underwent surgery again. Then, my leg became better. We were still shooting Gupt at the time,” he revealed.

“I am just happy I could dance, shoot songs. When I would go overseas, I would have to tell the officials that I have a rod in my leg. I still have a rod and two screws,” he said.
