EXCLUSIVE: Bhushan Kumar is ‘in no hurry’ to make Gulshan Kumar biopic Mogul : Bollywood News

It is a known fact that Bhushan Kumar has always been keen on making a biopic on his father and music mogul Gulshan Kumar’s life. While there were many reports about this film which is titled Mogul in the past, the recent update was that superstar Aamir Khan will be a part of the film. However, the actor is busy with Laal Singh Chaddha whereas Bhushan Kumar is focusing on other projects. In a recent exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, along with friend and co-producer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Murad Khetani, Bhushan Kumar got candid about the Gulshan Kumar biopic.

Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani spoke about a wide range of topics during their interview with Bollywood Hungama. Amidst their conversation, Bhushan was asked about the latest development of the much-talked-about Gulshan Kumar biopic aka Mogul. Considering that the film is equally personal and special for the producer, he said, “I have always maintained on numerous occasions that this biopic is neither my need nor a part of my business. It is just a way of portraying my father’s life history, some details of which people are aware of, to the world. We are just improvising on it. Neither am I in a hurry nor is Aamir Sir (Khan). Also, due to the lockdown, Aamir’s films like Laal Singh Chaddha have been delayed. He also wants to do another film in the meanwhile. So, after all of those commitments, we will plan our film aaram se. Everything that has been a part of the film until now is not going to change. There are only things that are being added to it. But, I am in no hurry.”

Speaking of Laal Singh Chaddha, the film, which is an official remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump with an Indian backdrop, is expected to release on August 11, 2022. On the other hand, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani. The film, which stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu in lead roles, is doing extremely well at the box office and raking in massive collections.
