Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone’s Pathaan no longer need an introduction. Ever since the film hit the silver screen, it has managed to win hearts across the globe. Apart from high-octane action sequences and whistle-worthy cameo of Salman Khan, it's the tracks ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ and ‘Besharam Rang,’ which have become the highlights. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, the iconic composer duo Vishal and Sheykhar shared a bunch of anecdotes related to the making of Pathaan’s music album.

While speaking about the making of ‘Besharam Rang’, Vishal and Sheykhar shared an “exclusive” detail of the song. The music-composers revealed that the song had a different intro and the title of the song was earlier its hook line. As the conversation progressed further, Sheykhar explained why they skip a typical Vishal-Sheykhar song because of “an old-school” thought process.

Vishal and Sheykhar recalled, “The song had a different intro, and ‘Besharam Rang’ was its hook line, which has become the song now. We had planned a proper intro, then a cross-line, and after that, the hook line comes. Then we decided to skip everything and go with the main line,” while adding that they followed the pattern of classic melodies.

Upon this, Sheykhar asserted, “This very beautiful old-school thought made us skip our standard Vishal-Sheykhar song as we write three-page long intros.” Meanwhile, Vishal jokingly added, “Which as far are as - kaato kaato.” They also went on to speak about the arrangement of the song.

Sung by Shilpa Rao and choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant, ‘Besharam Rang’ has garnered over 294M views on YouTube, so far. The exotic soundtrack is extensively shot at various serene locations in Spain.
