The recently unveiled song Chutney from Dhamaal 4 has quickly caught the attention of audiences for its vibrant energy, colourful visuals and infectious rhythm. Adding to the excitement is actress Anjali Anand, who features in the peppy number and says she thoroughly enjoyed every moment of bringing it to life on screen.
Speaking exclusively about her experience, Anjali revealed that she began preparing for the film as soon as she learned that she would be featured in two songs. “As soon as I got to know I have two songs in the film, I started preparing. Started attending multiple workshops every week and trying to be ready for whatever comes my way. I wanted to make sure people saw how much I enjoy dancing and feel like dancing with me every time they see me on screen,” she said.
The actress also shared that she was already familiar with Chutney long before she became a part of the film. Recalling her first encounter with the track, she said, “I have heard this song before when I saw Salman Khan dancing to it and absolutely loved it then and I love how they’ve recreated it in the film.”
Describing the song’s appeal, Anjali believes Chutney perfectly fits into the category of what social media users popularly call “chatpate gaane.” “It’s what they call chatpate gaane on the internet now and this song is the ultimate chatpata song. It’s an absolute blast. And to be able to share the screen with artists I’ve always admired is the icing on the cake,” she added.
Known for her lively personality and love for cinema, Anjali admitted that performing in a song like Chutney came naturally to her. “I think I was born dancing to such songs. I’m an absolute film buff and dancing is everything to me.”
Interestingly, while she never felt challenged by the genre, watching the final result left even her pleasantly surprised. “I didn’t have to step out of my comfort zone but once I saw the video, I was shocked looking at myself dancing like that. It was just so much fun.”
With Chutney already generating buzz among fans, Anjali Anand’s enthusiasm and infectious energy appear to be one of the song’s biggest highlights. As Dhamaal 4 gears up for release, the actress is hopeful that audiences will enjoy the track as much as she enjoyed performing it, making it one of the film’s standout musical moments.
