EXCLUSIVE: Ameesha Patel says she never faced “insecurity from male actors”; adds Aamir Khan did not cut anyone’s edit in Mangal Pandey : Bollywood News

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha Patel said that she has never faced insecurity from male actors. Patel, who has starred alongside some of the biggest names in Bollywood, said that she has always been treated with respect by her co-stars.

"I don't think so. I don't know. I have worked with the likes of Ajay Devgn, Sunny Deol, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan," Patel said. "I think they've been here too long, and they will continue to rule. I don't think they need to be insecure about anything."

Patel said that she has even had male actors tell producers that they need her on board for their films. "There have been actors who were very happy with my stardom, and used to tell the producers that get Ameesha onboard, she will help our film. Pay her whatever she demands. We need her for our film, she will add to our film," she said.

Patel said that she is grateful to have worked with such a "secure breed of superstars." "I haven't worked with anyone insecure. And they've only respected me. And they continue to respect me till today and we share a great camaraderie," she said.

Patel is currently gearing up for the release of Gadar 2, the sequel to her 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Helmed by Anil Sharma, the film is set to release on August 11, 2023.
