Singer Aditya Narayan tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Shweta Agarwal in 2020. In the year 2022, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, and named her Tvisha. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actor-singer spoke about them while explaining the reason behind quitting television.
Interestingly, the young singer explained that he started hosting television shows with a purpose and that purpose has been fulfilled now, Thus, he decided to quit TV. Elaborating on the same, he recalled struggling to say no to money, especially when it was in crores. However, he “felt” money took the front seat over art.
Narayan asserted, “By the time I finished starting up I was married. Tvisha was just born. I think two weeks after Tvisha was born, I finished hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa so from a teenager like an 18-year-old teenager to a 34-year-old young man with a beautiful daughter and beautiful wife, it was life coming full circle for me.”
He went on to explain and added, “my goal with Indian television especially in the past five years was to be financially independent because I wanted to settle down. I wanted to buy a new house and buying a house in Bombay is like buying 100 acres of land anywhere else in the world. Even a cubicle will be 1.5 crores plus GST and that's how it is. Imagine wanting to buy a 2500 square foot house on the 33rd floor.”
Aditya concluded saying he wanted to become financially independent, and as he has already achieved it, he said bye to TV. However, he also added that it’s not that he is never going to come back.
