Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is all set for his upcoming film Jersey which is scheduled to have a theatrical release on December 31. The movie stars him along with Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur. Shahid shared his views on why one becomes an actor or come into the profession of films.

In a recent exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shahid said, “I don’t think anyone comes to movies because it’s the most logical profession. We are fascinated by this world. We are infatuated by this world. We want to be a part of certain films that made an impact.”

He added, “Acting is a job which hits you at your heart. How many jobs hit you at heart? Very few. But, acting straight hits at your heart. So your connection with cinema comes from a place of passion and love. It’s all heart and soul and emotions. So you cannot come into this profession mathematically. Anybody who has tried to do it mathematically, it doesn’t work for them.”

Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur talked about the music of Jersey, OTT revolution, and how TV played big role in popularity of Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Mrunal says that she is blessed to be entering Bollywood at this time.

Jersey is a sports drama film written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, a remake of his 2019 Telugu film of the same title. The story is about a 36-year-old cricketer named Arjun who stopped his cricketing career ten years ago, now aiming to play for Indian team. The film is produced by Allu Entertainment, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments and Brat Films.
