In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Piyush Mehroliyaa, a rising star in the music industry, shared the story of his musical journey. Not only this, but he also spoke about making his debut with Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s Satyaprem Ki Katha. For the unversed, Piyush rose to fame after the success of the Meet Brothers’ music video, ‘Aawara Shaam Hai.’

Piyush expressed, "My musical journey has been quite long and filled with struggles, but I take immense joy in it because music runs in my blood. Every day is a new learning chapter for me." He revealed that it took him 8 years of dedication and perseverance to reach the stage where he currently stands, feeling content with the progress he has made.

While stating that music has always been an integral part of Piyush's life since childhood, he shared what ignited his passion for singing. He said, “Once in a school music competition, I sang and won the first prize. That moment made my heart and soul happy when I heard the applause from the audience. I realized that as an artist, the most satisfying thing is receiving applause from people. From there, I felt that I needed to learn music.”

Piyush recalled, “I started doing shows at Jagratas, where I used to get Rs 50, 100 or 200 for playing the keyboard. Gradually, I started singing and after fifteen years of singing at Jagratas’ I realized that I wanted to do more. Since childhood, my dream has been to become a playback singer in Bollywood. In 2013, I came to Mumbai and struggled a lot, but I never gave up. Today, I am here, and Meet Brothers has helped me immensely in my journey."

In 2013, he moved to Mumbai and faced numerous challenges, but he never gave up on his dream. Piyush credits Meet Brothers, who supported him significantly throughout his journey. Reflecting on his vocal development, Piyush emphasized the importance of learning and the power of writing. He advised aspiring singers to internalize good music and songs before mastering their own style. His influences include renowned singers like Master Saleem and Arijit Singh, and he initially leaned towards Sufi music.

Speaking of his association with Meet Brothers, the rising star explained, “Meet Brothers have played a very important role in my life; they are like key chapters in my journey. They have helped me a lot in transitioning from Jagratas to Bollywood. I got the chance from their studio. I have been working with them for 8 years, and they have groomed me throughout this time. They taught me the difference between playback singing and live singing.”

He concluded by saying, “After meeting them, I got more opportunities in playback singing and practised singing on professional mics. This thing has done wonders for me and boosted my confidence, giving me a push. In fact, Meet Brothers keep teaching me and have motivated me multiple times. They play a very important role in my life. It's because of them that I have reached this stage in my career.”
