South Korean star Seo Ye Ji's much-anticipated drama Eve, which premieres on June 1, has released a premiere teaser giving a glimpse at the perfect revenge story which is about to commence.
Eve is an upcoming romance-revenge drama dealing with the inside story of a chaebol’s 2 trillion won (approximately $1.7 billion) divorce lawsuit that shocks the entire nation. Seo Ye Ji will play the role of Lee Ra El, who was born between a genius father and a beautiful mother. After going through an unfortunate family affair, she transforms into a woman who is likened to a “dangerous flower” with a fatal charm. She is the woman at the center of the unbelievably expensive divorce lawsuit.
Park Byung Eun will be the CEO of the No. 1 corporate group in the financial world. Lee Sang Yeob is taking on the role of Seo Eun Pyung, a human rights lawyer who gives up everything for love when he meets Lee Ra El. Yoo Sun plays Han So Ra, the only daughter of powerful politician Han Pan Ro who married into the LJ Group chaebol family. She appears beautiful and confident, but she is actually unstable on the inside and obsessed with remaining young. Eve is penned by Yoon Young Mi.
The teaser begins with Seo Ye Ji’s Lee Ra El immersed in her dance performance. “A tango is the process of becoming one heart,” she explains, as translated by Soompi. Later, she’s introduced at a gathering as a fellow parent, but others sneeringly comment, “How could you diminish your status going around with a woman like that?” Lee Ra El’s husband Jang Jin Wook (Lee Ha Yul) greets Kang Yoon Kyum and she comments, “How interesting that you two have a connection.” Lee Ra El asks Seo Eun Pyung to help her seek revenge as he starts investigating the ins and outs of Kang Yoon Kyum’s family relationship. As the scheme starts to drive Han So Ra insane, Lee Ra El boldly comments, “My insatiable greed will guide you to hell.”
