Television queen Ekta Kapoor is coming up with one of its kind reality show Lock Upp which features Kangana Ranaut as the host. In the show, 16 contestants will be locked up inside a jail for 72 days facing several hurdles and challenges. The trailer and the posters of the show that have been released may remind one of Bigg Boss. There have been many people who are comparing the show to Bigg Boss and claiming it to be its copy.
Recently, during the promotions of the show at a press conference in Delhi, the producer of the show Ekta Kapoor appealed to differ with the comparison. Talking to a tabloid, Ekta said that captive realities all over the world are bound to get compared with each other. She believes that there will be 10 shows and we will see them as the same stories but they have all worked on their own differences.
Further, she also added that there is going to be constant comparison and people will say various stuff. Whereas captive reality and original captive reality will also have their differences. At last, she appealed to the audiences to watch the show and know the difference between both the shows.
Lock Upp is all set to premiere on February 27 on MX Player & ALT Balaji. The show will stream 24*7 online and the fate of the contestants will be decided by the host and the audience.
