Diwali 2022: Uorfi Javed, Namish Taneja, and Anjali Arora spread the message of a pollution-free and cracker-free Diwali

en Bollywood News Diwali 2022: Uorfi Javed, Namish Taneja, and Anjali Arora spread the message of a pollution-free and cracker-free Diwali

With Diwali, the festival fever in India is on an all-time high. Exchanging sweets, lighting lamps, partying and spending time with family is something we all look forward to each other. But if there is something about Diwali that many of us have taken an objection to, in the past few years, then it is firecrackers. From causing noise to air pollution, the hazards of firecrackers have often been a concern to celebrities, as they have time again voiced out their opinion against using them. Joining them in this endeavor is also former Bigg Boss contestant Uorfi Javed, Lock Upp contestant Anjali Arora and Swaragini actor Namish Taneja.

Uorfi Javed
“I am against bursting firecrackers, I don't like pollution , also it harms animals a lot of times. Hence I would just suggest everyone to not burn crackers. It's a festival of lights , let's stick to that and celebrate it that way and not harm anyone. Don't burn a pataka, be one!”

Namish Taneja
“In my childhood, I used to enjoy bursting crackers, and my father used to buy me a lot of them. But when I grew up, I started to understand about the hazards it can cause – the noise and air pollution that follows. That’s when I decided to stop bursting crackers. Now that I also have dogs at my place, I see how much they get affected by firecrackers all around them. This was the biggest reason why I quit and put an end to it. Now, I believe in peaceful Diwali”

Anjali Arora
I don't like crackers because they disturb and harm street dogs. These animals don't have any shelter to save themselves either. I don't believe this should be a method of celebrating the festival because we should also keep in mind the safety and protection of street animals. It is our duty to take care of things so that nobody is harmed. Some patients and elder people are also get affected by the noise of the crackers and that is another reason. I believe that Diwali can be celebrated by spending quality time with family, with peace and joy.
