Despite several replacements, SAB TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has managed to keep the audience entertained. However, a section of fans is still waiting for Disha Vakani to return to TMKOC in her iconic role of Dayaben. Lately, various media reports have speculated that she might make a comeback. Amid this, the actress met her Taarak Mehta co-stars, fueling the rumours of her comeback.

Recently, Palak Sindhwani took to her IG story section and shared a snap featuring TMKOC stars including Disha Vakani. She was posing for the photo at a wedding. Besides her, the frame also captured Nitish Bhaluni, Manadar's wife Snehal Chandwadkar, Ambika Ranjankar and Sunayana Fozdar.

Coming back to the show, in the Diwali track, the makers hinted at Dayaben's comeback. However, after creating hype, Disha’s character did not return, which disappointed fans. Hours after the episode was released, the fans of the show started trending #BoycottTMKOC.

As fans started slamming the makers, Asit Kumarr Modi reportedly issued an official statement, which read, "I’m here to entertain my audience and I will never lie to my viewers. Only due to certain circumstances, we are unable to bring Daya’s character back on time. But, that does not mean that the character is not going to enter the show at all! Whether it is Disha Vakani or someone else, the time will tell."

Meanwhile, in the last couple of years, a bunch of actors have quit the show including Shailesh Lodha, Jennifer Mistry, Priya Ahuja and Monika Bhadoriya, accusing makers of mistreatment. On the other hand, Bhavya Gandhi and Raj Andkat parted their ways amicably.
