Dharmendra reacts to Sunny Deol getting emotional at Gadar 2 trailer launch; calls him ‘Saadhu’ 2 : Bollywood News

The trailer launch of Gadar 2 was held in Mumbai last week amid much fanfare and media presence. The entire cast including Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, young actor Utkarsh Sharma and debutant Simrat Kaur Randhawa attended the launch and briefly interacted with everyone. During the same, Sunny was seen getting emotional after he saw the massive audience turnout despite the monsoons. Reacting to the video which found its way on social media was none other than Senior Deol Dharmendra, who even went to address his son as ‘Sadhu’.

Sunny Deol received a warm welcome on the stage of Gadar 2 trailer launch and after seeing the entire auditorium cheer for him, the actor was seen getting teary-eyed. In fact, when Ameesha Patel entered the stage, she was seen wiping his tears. Post that, in the speech to the audience, he expressed his gratitude towards them for attending the event despite the heavy rainfall in the city. When the video founds its way online and started becoming viral, Sunny’s father Dharmendra came across the same and reposted it on his Twitter handle, saying, “Sunny, a Saadhu in our family.

On the other hand, Sunny Deol had said during his interaction with the audience, “I am very thankful to all of you for attending the trailer launch, despite the heavy monsoons in the city. I was afraid that we might have to postpone or reschedule the trailer launch because of the rains. But I cannot appreciate enough all the people and journalists who came in from different parts of the country to attend this event. Thank you so much for coming. And for my fans, 'Balle Balle Paaji'.”

Gadar 2 marks the return of Anil Sharam as the director and is expected to be set in the 70s, two decades following the events in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The film features the struggle of Jeete, who is caught by the Pakistani soldiers with Sunny Deol returning to Lahore to save his son. The film is slated for release on August 11 in cinemas worldwide.
