Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and acclaimed director Rohit Shetty recently flagged off a replica rath of the Ram Mandir in Mumbai. This event sparked excitement among devotees and highlighted the growing fervour surrounding the upcoming inauguration of the actual Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Fadnavis acknowledged the significance of the occasion, stating, "The Ram temple is going to be inaugurated in Ayodhya on January 22nd. Every person wants to get there, but it's not possible for everyone. To fulfil their wish, a replica of the Ram temple has been prepared here."
For the unversed, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has designated January 22 as the auspicious day for the enthronement of Ram Lalla, the deity of Lord Rama, in the temple's sanctum sanctorum.
Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, holds immense spiritual, historical, and cultural importance for millions in India. The Ram Mandir construction project has been a long-held aspiration for many, and its completion and inauguration are expected to be momentous occasions.

To mark the historic event, the Trust has extended invitations to 4,000 saints from various sects to participate in the consecration ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also confirmed to attend the inauguration, further underlining the national significance of this occasion.
The replica Rath's journey through Mumbai serves as a prelude to the grand celebrations that will unfold in Ayodhya from January 14th to 22nd, commemorated as the Amrit Mahautsav.
Besides this, readers may recall that earlier Bollywood Hungama has reported that the event would be a star-studded affair. While Bollywood actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher and Akshay Kumar have been invited, down South, the invitation has gone to superstars Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Dhanush and Kantara star Rishabh Shetty.
