Pooja Hegde on Artistic Freedom and Box Office:

Speaking about the importance of experimentation and creative risks, Pooja Hegde said, "As actors, we should be allowed to fail because only through failure can we attempt something new. Otherwise, we fall into a pattern of following trends. For me, box office performance is important, but it’s not a pressure I take upon myself. My focus is on delivering my best and exploring new opportunities in every role."

She further added, "There have been instances where good films didn’t perform well at the box office initially, but years later, they gained love and recognition. For me, the true success of a film is when it stands the test of time and resonates with audiences across generations."

Shahid Kapoor on Box Office and Longevity in Cinema:

Shahid Kapoor candidly shared his thoughts on balancing creative integrity with box office expectations. He remarked, "While producers invest their money, the pressure is on everyone involved in the film. Nobody wants to be associated with an unsuccessful film. Films are made for the audience, and when the audience doesn’t show up, it is disheartening. Our aim is always to make films that reach as many people as possible."

He drew an analogy with cricket, saying, "If you want to sustain a long career, like in cricket, you need to evolve and adapt. Many players excel in formats like IPL but often struggle on international tours. They take time to learn and grow. Similarly, as actors, we need to take on diverse roles, experiment, and grow over time. Hits and flops are part of the journey, but what matters is continuous evolution."

Talking about Deva, Shahid added, "From the start, we’ve said this is a film for the masses, but it’s also intelligent and layered. Every film has a different story and audience, and we must embrace that diversity as creators."

The trailer of Deva has already set high expectations, with Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, and Pavail Gulati leading the cast under the direction of Rosshan Andrrews. The film, backed by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, is set to promise both commercial appeal and depth, making it one of the most awaited releases of the year.
