Ever since the global TV series Citadel was announced, fans have been eagerly waiting for it to hit the screens. While the Indian spin-off starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu is still in shoot, the makers have surprised the fans regarding the U.S. series, headlined by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden along with Stanley Tucci. The series is slated to release on April 28 this year.

On Monday, PeeCee took to her verified Instagram handle and shared a multiple-picture post unveiling some intriguing glimpses from the upcoming series. In the first image, she can be seen in a red dress as she points a gun at someone. Meanwhile, in another image, she can be seen teaming up with Richard's character as they head out on a mission. Captioning the post, Priyanka wrote, “First look at @citadelonprime.”

In no time, the post grabbed the attention of netizens. They took to the comments section and expressed their excitement. “Priyanka about to slay as always,” wrote a user while another commented, “The mother that mother all their mother's / the Queen herself.” Besides this, many flooded it with red-heart and fire emoticons.

For the unversed, besides India and US, the series will have spin-offs set in Mexico and Italy. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK will be taking responsibility for the Indian spin-off under their banner D2R Films.

Speaking of Citadel India, Anthony and Joe Russo had earlier said, “We are thrilled to see yet another production within the Citadel universe commencing, this time in India.
