Akshay Kumar is a busy man. The actor has quite a few movies in the pipeline. After finishing Padman schedule, Akshay Kumar headed to London earlier this week to begin shooting for his next film, Gold.

On July 1, Akshay Kumar starrer Gold has gone on floors in Bradford. Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar shared a photograph of the clapboard from their mahurat shot. She captioned it, "Mahurat #gold #firstday #firstshot #clappergirl #fatfingers #reemakagti #alvarogutierrez #excelentertainment #akshaykumar #bradford @reemakagti1 @titoterrez."

Gold will also mark the debut of TV actress Mouni Roy in the film industry. It is a sports drama based on India's first Olympic Gold medal win in hockey as a free country at 1948 London Olympics. The film also stars Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor in pivotal roles. It is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Movies and directed by Reema Kagti.

Besides this, Akshay Kumar will be seen in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha with Bhumi Pednekar, which is slated for release on August 11.
