Bollywood actor Celina Jaitly has publicly shared painful details about her separation from husband Peter Haag, revealing that he served her divorce notice on their 15th wedding anniversary and that she is being denied communication with their three children. In a detailed post on social media, the former beauty queen described the emotional and legal turmoil she is currently facing, including custody and property disputes that have unfolded since her return to India last year.
In her Instagram note, Celina wrote that in early September, she was driven to a local post office by Haag under the pretext of collecting an anniversary gift, only to be served with legal divorce papers. “I was served a divorce notice on the pretext of receiving a gift ordered for our 15th wedding anniversary,” she said, characterising the incident as part of what she described as “systematic oppression and abuse.”
Celina further alleged that after years of marriage, she had no choice but to leave Austria with the help of neighbours in October 2025 to protect her dignity, her three sons and her brother. She said she returned to India with very limited funds and has been navigating legal battles ever since. Despite a joint custody order from the Austrian Family Court, she claimed she is currently denied any communication with her children. “I am heartbroken!” she wrote, adding that she believes there has been repeated interference in her access to them.
In the post, Celina detailed her attempts to pursue an amicable separation with the children’s welfare as her priority, only to be met with conditions related to her premarital assets and demands she found unreasonable. “Overnight, I was required to justify my role as a mother, despite being their primary caregiver… My entire world was snatched from me in one moment,” she said.
She also said that her husband is now claiming possession of her house in India — a property she purchased in 2004, years before their marriage — forcing her to take out a significant loan to pursue legal rights. Celina called out what she described as interference, intimidation and selective narratives aimed at obstructing her relationship with her children.

Last year, Celina had filed a domestic violence case against Haag in a Mumbai court, accusing him of cruelty, abuse and manipulation, and seeking damages of Rs 50 crores along with monthly maintenance and other relief. Reports had also cited claims that her husband restricted her ability to work during their marriage and that their legal battle encompasses both civil and matrimonial disputes.
The couple married in 2011 and have three sons: twin boys Winston and Viraaj (born 2012) and Arthur (born 2017), while another child, Shamsher, passed away due to a heart condition. The developments come amid broader personal challenges, including Celina’s efforts to secure legal aid for her brother, who has been detained in the UAE.
