Twisha Sharma’s death has now escalated into a major legal battle involving allegations of harassment, institutional bias, and a Central Bureau of Investigation probe. Amid the growing public discourse around the case, Celina Jaitly took to Instagram to speak about emotional violence, isolation, and the invisible suffering many women silently endure behind closed doors.

In a lengthy note, the actor wrote, “Marriage is Not Always Happily Ever After, Sometimes the Loneliest Form of Violence is the One Nobody Sees.”

Referring to Twisha Sharma’s case, Celina said, “The heartbreaking case of Twisha Sharma has shaken the entire nation. An educated, beautiful, talented young woman whose life became consumed by abuse, isolation, emotional suffering, & violence behind closed doors.”

The actor further reflected on how emotional abuse often goes unnoticed or gets normalised within society. “Sometimes the suffering of women becomes so normalized that their pain slowly stops mattering to the people around them,” she wrote.

Sharing her views on abuse beyond physical violence, Celina added, “Sometimes it is isolation. Sometimes it is slowly being cut off from your world. Sometimes it is living in a foreign place with no family, no support system, nowhere to go. Sometimes it is being made to feel that you are the problem, that your pain is an inconvenience.”

The actor also opened up about her own personal struggles, revealing how loneliness and emotional isolation affected her during difficult phases of her marriage. Celina wrote, “In my own case, my parents had already passed away, I was no longer financially independent, & above all, I had three small children.”

She further admitted that she stayed in the marriage longer than she should have because she wanted to protect her family and children. “Like so many women, I stayed longer than I should have because I believed keeping the family together was the right thing to do. I did not want my children to suffer. I had no one to turn to, & I was ashamed to admit how lonely I had become,” she shared.

Celina also described the emotional toll prolonged isolation can have on a person’s mental health. “Isolation becomes deeper with time. The walls become quieter & heavier. Days blur into each other until you begin doubting your own reality,” the actor wrote.

Concluding her note, Celina expressed support for Twisha Sharma’s family and urged families to listen to women who seek help. “My heart goes out to Twisha Sharma’s family, & to every woman suffering behind closed doors. Parents, friends, & family, if your daughter reaches out to you, bring her back. Do not let the abuse consume her,” she stated.

Celina Jaitly is currently involved in an ongoing divorce and custody battle with her husband, Austrian hotelier Peter Haag. The actor has publicly accused him of physical, emotional, and financial abuse, while also alleging that she has been denied access to their children despite a joint custody agreement.
