Florian Hurel is one of the most prominent celebrity makeup artists who has worked for A-list actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and more. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Florian Hurel sheds light on some of his best looks, easy makeup hacks, and his experience of working with celebrities on a daily basis.

Most of your clients are A-list Bollywood actresses, how is it working with them?

Working with the A-lister means being on top. Being at your best all the time. Zero mistakes allowed and having the right attitude. I work under strict deadlines with them and have to ensure that the perfect look comes in one go. In an industry where time is money, I don't have the luxury to go wrong. It has to be the perfect look in one go. Therefore, I always ensure that I bring my A-game to the table.

Tell us something about the best looks that you have curated for the actresses

I got Deepika Padukone ready for an appearance. I created a twisted hair bun with a strong smokey eye. I think makeup has got to have various cream eyeshadow. Those are complex to work with but we get the best reflection and shine. That for me personally was a very satisfying experience. Though I am always trying to challenge myself, Deepika's look is one of my favourites.

Do you discuss the looks in advance with the celebrities or they leave it to you to decide?

We always discuss the look within the team and then with the celeb. We got to work all together to balance the right look and as I said, I don't have the time luxury to go wrong. So, I ensure that I get a very clear brief and I put in my best of creativity and imagination which together brings an impeccable and impactful look.

With the constant use of makeup, what is the one hack that celebrities follow to ensure clear skin?

I think it has to be sleeping with a face mask keep on, constantly moisturizing, and drinking lots of water. These combinations can work like magic.

One product that you never fail to use?

Tomford cream shadow.
