This year marks her eighth stint and as the newly married Sonam Kapoor Ahuja took to the red carpet tonight, she looks every bit of her resplendent self! For her, keeping up with a calendar filled with engagements all whilst looking glamorous is easy- Sonam Kapoor never disappoints and keeps things lively just like it’s any other day! There is a plausible reason why Sonam is the millennial bonafide fashionista of Bollywood! Her sheer presence can make a statement – Sonam Kapoor is back with her fashion squad, this time at the feted 71st Cannes International Film Festival 2018. Flitting seamlessly from one frenzied affair – her big fat Indian wedding (a gala affair, of course!) to the Mecca of cinema and fashion, Sonam Kapoor is a woman to reckon with! Sonam Kapoor - The Contemporary Bride!

Sonam donned a customised ivory ensemble by her favourite designers, Ralph & Russo featuring an embroidered blouse with sheer sleeves and an exaggerated detail on one side and a voluminous skirt. The sleeve detail gave a lovely impression of a dupatta falling on one side to the whole ensemble.

Her long tresses were braided with centre-parting, courtesy hair stylist Stephane Lancien and adorned with an opulent jada choti from Amrapali Jewels.

A subtle makeup of defined eyes, pink lips and highlighted cheekbones, courtesy her go-to makeup artist Namrata Soni rounded out her sleek look.

The diva had a fairy-tale wedding with beau Anand Ahuja on May 8 and regaled us with her exquisite bridal avatars. Keeping up with the bridal fervour, we love how Sonam channelled the whole thing on an international scene - quite a style risk and a stunt to say the least!

The intricate details on the opulent creation earn this look an A while the makeup and hair game simply elevate the look further! A creation that boasts of contemporary as well as traditional details, this ensemble is sure to spark off ideas for all the would-be brides! As Sonam proudly showed off her intricate henna design, which was etched across her hands - a move that was lauded by fashion gurus, including Vogue USA. The traditional Indian form of body art, which the actress also wore at her fairytale wedding to businessman Anand Ahuja just one week prior, was accompanied by a nude manicured and a new wedding ring."

On the professional front, Sonam Kapoor will be seen in Rhea and Ekta Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding, sharing screen space with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. Also, she will be seen in Sanju, opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
