Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Medha Rana, Anya Singh, Bhushan Kumar, Nidhi Dutta, Anurag Singh and others attended the success press meet of their film Border 2 at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. It was one of the best events of the year as the actors gave headline-worthy quotes, raised laughs and also touched the hearts of the press as they shared their emotional experiences.
Sunny Deol spoke highly of his co-star Varun Dhawan and the trolling he had to face before the release. Sunny said, “Varun bahut hi pyara baccha hai. I have worked with his dad (David Dhawan). He's a very, very hard-working boy. When I went on the set, I saw that kis tarah se yeh bechara action kar raha hai, gir pad raha hai, chot kha raha hai. When I was young, we used to do action in the same way. Anyway, I am young even now!” The last sentence led to hooting for Sunny Deol.
The veteran star continued, “It was great working with him. The rapport came across very well. I wish him all the best.”
Then he remarked, “Nowadays, a lot of utt pataang stuff is happening on social media. Log apni (bhadaas) nikalna chahte hai. I never understood the reason for it. All I can say is that don't get serious about it. It's all bulls***. You know who you are and what you are. The aam junta watches your film and that's what matters. Log toh bahut kuch bolenge aapke baare mein. Kuch logon ko kisi ke baare mein accha hi nahin lagta.”
At another point, Varun Dhawan brought the house down as he opined, “In a way, I felt that trolling was helping our film in promotion. Otherwise, even you know how much money is needed to be paid to the various social media pages for posts. Here, it was all happening for free!”
