Bobby Deol gets teary-eyed at Animal success bash after overwhelming response to his role: “It feels like a dream” : Bollywood News

Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri, was released in theatres on December 1. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the ‘A’ rated violent crime saga collected Rs. 63.80 crores on its opening day. A special party was hosted on Saturday for industry people and it was also attended by Bobby Deol. The actor was seen visibly emotional upon watching the response of the audience.

In a couple of videos which have gone viral on social media, Bobby Deol was spotted crying after the success party of the movie. The actor was surrounded by his team. He was seen wiping his tears off as he greeted the paparazzi and then headed to his car. Before that, he spoke to the paparazzo and said, “Thank you so much. God has been really kind Itna pyaar mil raha hai iss film ke liye, mujhe lagta hai main sapna dekh raha hoon (I’m getting so much love for this film, it feels like a dream).”

At the press conference of Animal in New Delhi after the trailer launch, Bobby Deol revealed how he was cast in the movie. “Inke paas ek photograph thi jab main jyada kuch kaam nahi kar raha tha but main Celebrity Cricket League khelta tha. Toh wahan ek photo kheechi gayi thi jahan main dur kahin dekh raha hoon. Toh unhone mujhe dikhayi aur kaha ‘main aapko issi liye lena chahta hoon kyunki aapki yeh joh photograpgh hai, isme joh aapka expression hai, woh mujhe chahiye.’ I said ‘Chalo bekaari ke din kaam aagaye’ (He had a photo of me from when I wasn’t working as such, but I used to play the Celebrity Cricket League. He told me he wants me in the film because the expression that I had in the photo, he wanted in the film. I thought good, unemployed days also turned out to be useful),” the actor said.

Animal released on December 1, 2023. Following the unveiling of the post-credit scene, Sandeep Reddy Vanga seems to be planning a sequel called Animal Park.
