Janhvi Kapoor turned 21 today and according to the reports, she is spending this day at an orphanage, a legacy started by her mother. As rightly pointed out by her cousin Sonam Kapoor, a little girl transformed into a woman today. Since her mother passed away a few days ago, she won hearts of her mom’s fans and the entire industry by carrying herself with grace and poise, thus making her family proud. She took to social media a couple of days ago asking for support of her well-wishers in this difficult time and pledged to be what her mother had dreamt of for her. Janhvi is making her Bollywood debut with Dhadak with Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother Ishaan Khatter. Karan Johar, who also is the producer of the film, has turned a mentor for her and was one of the first people to rush to her when the fateful news about her mother’s death came out.

Going back, looking at her pictures one will realise that she was extremely close to her mom who in turn was a pillar of strength in her life. Sri was a protective mom to her daughters and left her career post marriage to take care of her kids. One look at the pictures of the mother-daughter duo and you would realise that Janhvi is as elegant, graceful and beautiful (inside-out) as her mom and there are no two ways about it. Her movie is all set to release in June this year and we are sure, comparisons with her legendary mother are obvious.
