Raqesh Bapat was slammed in the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss OTT for his sexist statement in a task, as well as his changing attitude toward Shamita Shetty.

Karan criticised Raqesh for his men are stronger than women' argument when it came to the work. He chastised the latter for his view of women as physically unable, citing Shamita's injury during the work. Karan continues, "We are living in a woke world where you don't say things like this."

Raqesh didn't agree with him on this. He clarified, "I know what strength of a woman is. I have grown up in a house with women around."

Moose agreed with Karan and advised Raqesh that "power does not come from gender" at the time. Shamita, on the other hand, supported Raqesh, claiming that his intentions were good but that things turned out differently.

After hearing their reasons, Karan stated that he did not wish to avoid making this statement because doing so would make him a part of the cancel culture. He admitted that he finds it disrespectful when he is told he isn't manly enough.

Raqesh was labelled an escapist by Karan. "Raqesh ko samajhna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hai," he concluded.

Shamita was also dragged in for her spats and annoyances with Raqesh. Raqesh breaks her heart, and she is asked whether she has been broken by him. Shamita agreed with Karan's point of view. Raqesh, she claims, simply locks her out. "She said, "If he feels that he doesn't want to hurt me and wants to stay away, then he is an escapist. I feel angry with myself, too."

The romance between Shamita and Raqesh has been the talk of Bigg Boss OTT. However, the latter's proximity to Divya Agarwal became the source of their disagreements.
