Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar starrer Thank You For Coming recently premiered on Netflix. Since its debut on Netflix, the film has garnered a decent number of views and reviews from audiences.
Speaking about the film, Bhumi Pednekar mentioned, “Thank You For Coming is my passion project. I’m glad for the film’s global streaming release on Netflix. This is an important film to me. It has underlying themes of womanhood portrayed in a humorous and empathetic way. I’m thrilled that through Netflix the film will reach audiences worldwide.”
Bhumi Pednekar also added, “I have been fortunate as an artiste to be a part of many films that aimed to start a conversation and were hugely successful at entering the national consciousness of the country. TYFC is a project that made people sit up and discuss what women want. it made people uncomfortable but that was always the intention when you try and change something in society.”
Talking about the overwhelming response, Bhumi Pednekar expressed her gratitude, stating, “I was blown away with the love and the respect that I got from TYFC right from its global premiere at TIFF to the feedback from people who saw TYFC when it hit the theatres. To make a film about female pleasure took guts and hats off to my producers Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor for taking the plunge and Karan Boolani, the director for portraying the same so well. Working with the girls - Shehnaaz Gill, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh, and Shibani Bedi was a true delight. I’m thankful that they chose me as the face to lead this important narrative into the hearts of the people, especially the women of my country.”
