en Bollywood News Bharti Singh shares reason for avoiding Mahakumbh Mela trip: “Day by day aisi news aati jaa rahi hain…”

The ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj is drawing celebrities from India and beyond, with Bollywood stars like Rajkummar Rao, Avinash Tiwary, Kabir Khan, Chris Martin, Kubbra Sait, Hema Malini, and Esha Gupta visiting the spiritual Kumbh Mela to seek blessings. However, comedian Bharti Singh has revealed that she won’t be making the trip to Prayagraj and shared her reason for skipping the event.

Bharti Singh shares reason for avoiding Mahakumbh Mela trip: “Day by day aisi news aati jaa rahi hain…”

Earlier this week, Bharti Singh was spotted chatting with paparazzi, and a video of the interaction is now going viral on social media. When a videographer casually asked if she would be attending the Mahakumbh Mela, the comedian humorously responded, “Behosh ho kar marne, ya bicchadne.”

Explaining her hesitation, Bharti said, “Mera itna zyada mann tha na main jaaun, but day by day aisi news aati jaa rahi hain, Gole ke lekar jaana toh rehne do bhai.”

Bharti and her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, are parents to a son named Laksh, whom they lovingly call Gola. He was born in April 2022.

Bharti was referring to the tragic stampede at the Mahakumbh Mela last month, which claimed the lives of 30 devotees.

On January 29, massive crowds broke through police barricades, rushing toward a narrow strip of the riverbank, leading to the deadly incident.

Authorities reported that the tragedy unfolded between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. as millions of devotees struggled to secure a spot for a holy dip at the Sangam Nose. The surging crowd broke through barricades, highlighting administrative lapses in managing Mauni Amavasya, regarded as the most auspicious day of the six-week festival.

The Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, a sacred hub of faith and devotion, attracts millions of pilgrims from India and abroad for the holy Kumbh Snan.

Mahakumbh 2025, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering. It will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.
