Balika Vadhu actor Shashank Vyas reacts to Boys Locker Room incident; says hard hitting example should be set

The Boys Locker Room incident brewed up a storm on the internet on Monday. It is an Instagram group chat called Bois Locker Room where boys from South Delhi share pictures of underage girls. On the group chat, they objectify women and talk about gangraping them.

When screenshots of this group became public, people slammed the boys for this shameful act. The incident came into light when a girl from South Delhi shared a screenshot on her Twitter account exposing the controversial group. She wrote, "A group of south Delhi guys aged 17-18 types have this ig gc named ‘boy's locker room’ where they shit on, objectify and morph pictures of girls their age. 2 boys from my school are a part of it. MY FRIENDS AND I ARE FREAKING OUT THIS IS SO EWWW AND NOW MY MOM WANTS ME TO QUIT IG.”

Balika Vadhu actor Shashank Vyas speaking to an entertainment portal reacted to the incident. The actor said that this act should not be taken lightly. He is of the opinion that unless hard-hitting examples are set nobody is going to be scared from doing such things in the future. He said all such pages and users should be banned from social media. Vyas said that education begins from home and that they should get good schooling from home as a lot of action from kids comes from the kind of parenting and ethics they receive.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against the members of the group.
