Championing the need for protecting earth, Reena said, "Everything begins with the selfish needs of human beings that causing our environment to deteriorate. There is too much meat consumption, commercialisation of all natural resources for economic and social gains! I think we need to connect deeper on human level and try to save this planet together. We need to understand that everything that we do in our day to day life converts into a collective impact on earth! We as humans should think what we really want to leave behind as legacy for our next generation"

The actress also suggested some precautionary measures that can be taken to preserve the environment. Reena says "Well the list of ideas can be really long but First and foremost population control. More population means more destruction of natural resources. Millions of trees are being cut to acquire more land to make parking lots, to make buildings and what not! On the other hand, Rushad Rana, who made an impact with Anupamaa, and will now be seen in Kumkum Bhagya added, “Yes, it's only one Earth that we have, and I think people are forgetting it. The way humans are exploiting and harming the environment, we and our future generations will have no place to survive. It's time to wake-up and be conscious about our environment. The climate change taking a huge toll on the environment and I think it will keep getting worse unless we take drastic steps towards saving our environment. We need to stop thinking of our selfish needs and start thinking about humanity, only then we can make it far.

Rana went on to add, “I think the unnecessary construction of buildings needs to stop. There are so many buildings being constructed nowadays and you wonder- what’s the need? Also, we can shift to electric vehicles rather than using fuel based polluting vehicles.”
