Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan recently discussed the climax of the film, which he dubbed his "Manmohan Desai moment." In a conversation with Mashable India, Khan recalled that the scene was filmed at Thajiwas Glacier.

For the unversed, the climax of Bajrangi Bhaijaan sees the protagonist, Pawan, reuniting with a mute Pakistani girl named Munni. The scene is visually stunning, with the camera pulling away from the two characters as they freeze in mid-air.

Khan explained that the shot was achieved using specialised pulley systems. "There were pulleys near them and they were strapped," he said. "So, after throwing her into the air, Salman froze himself and the kid also did the same while hanging from the pulley. Then we pulled the camera out."

Khan acknowledged that while he typically seeks logic in every aspect of his filmmaking, he explained that it's not always necessary. "It (Bajrangi Bhaijaan) is a fairy tale," he said. "If I pull this fairy tale back for the sake of logic, then I shouldn't even be making this picture."

Khan added that the climax of Bajrangi Bhaijaan was a "magical moment" that was so emotionally satisfying that it made the audience forget about its implausibility. "That's why I call it my Manmohan Desai moment," he said. "Because it's the magical moment in a mainstream film that is so emotionally satisfying that you stop questioning its logic."

Starring Salman Khan in the lead, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was released in 2015.
