In the post-pandemic era, action films with big stars have been the most successful at the box office. Some of the examples of the same include Sooryavanshi, Pathaan, Jawan, Gadar 2, etc. Continuing the trend, there are a number of action films lined up for this year as well by some of the well-known stars.

Here are the 5 most awaited action films to arrive in the first half of 2024 (in order of release dates):

Crakk - Jeetegaa... Toh Jiyegaa

Over the years, Vidyut Jammwal has carved a niche for himself as one of the toughest action stars from India, thanks largely to his Commando franchise. His upcoming flick Crakk, which is directed by Aditya Datt, will see him do what he knows the best – action and stunts. The film’s trailer, which was recently released, showcased Vidyut carry some heroic stunts and fight a lethal battle with Arjun Rampal. Releasing on February 23, Crakk also stars Nora Fatehi and Amy Jackson.

Yodha

There is a good amount of anticipation for directors Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre’s Yodha. Apart from the fact that it has young actors like Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani as the foremost cast, the film promises a high-octane action ride with a high dose of patriotism; something that is in vogue these days. This will be Sidharth’s third patriotic film in a short time after Shershaah and Mission Majnu. It will be releasing on March 15.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

There is more than one reason why Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is one of the most awaited films of 2024. The biggest one is the pair of two action heroes Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff coming together. It also brings Ali Abbas Zafar back in the action zone. The teaser of the film also indicated the film to be a sleek and international standard action flick. It also stars Manushi Chhillar, Sonakshi Sinha and Alaya F and is slated to release on April 10.

Tehran

Since the last decade or so, John Abraham has become a specialist in action films with a tinge of patriotism, except Pathaan where he played the villain. The actor will be continuing the same with director Arun Gopalan’s geo-political thriller Tehran. Although the film’s story is not known yet, there are hopes from this one due to John’s past record. Tehran will also see Manushi Chhillar in a challenging action-oriented role. The film is releasing on April 26.

Baby John

Last year, filmmaker Atlee Kumar achieved history with his Bollywood debut flick Jawan. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer became the highest grossing Bollywood movie. Hence, there is enough excitement to know what he will do next. Although he is only producing Baby John, his name being attached to another action film is reason enough to keenly await this one. Plus, one will get to see Varun Dhawan in a masala action thriller for the first time. The Kalees directorial also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh. It releases on May 31.
