Decades ago conversations around mental health awareness were demonised, however now things have changed for good. Noticeably, there has been a shift in the way people look at mental health and talk about it today. A strong advocate of the same, actor Babil Khan recently took to social media to initiate a conversation on mental health awareness across different generations with mother Sutapa Sikdar.

Receiving immense love from netizens for striking such an important dialogue on mental health awareness, Babil can be seen discussing how there has been a difference in mental crisis in older generations and the current generation. Mindfully talking him through this change, his mother and film writer Sutapa Sikdar bring forward the importance of having more open conversations at home and giving validation so that one doesn’t seek it outside.

With mental health being compromised in our everyday life, it’s important to take adequate measures. Babil Khan using his platform to spread awareness about the subject is truly inspiring for many young individuals out there.

On the work front, Babil Khan will be next seen in Yash Raj Films’ upcoming web series, The Railway Men. The series is inspired by the courageous railway workers in Bhopal who were present during the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy and in a film produced by Excel Entertainment, adding to his list of promising projects.
