Ayan Mukerji is all praises for Ido Portal, the movement expert for Brahmastra : Bollywood News

Brahmastra is literally the most anticipated movie of this year and ever since it has been announced, it has been the talk of the town. The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer is based around the lives of Shiva and Isha and has a superhero angle to the film. It must be one huge project since the makers have been at it for the last 3 years since its announcement. The team has been traveling around the world to shoot the film and Alia even went on to say that this film can take Indian superhero films on an international level.

Just yesterday, Ayan released a video on his Instagram with Ranbir Kapoor and Ido Portal in the act trying to figure out the character of Shiva and his movements. The video was a time lapse and we even spotted Alia Bhatt trying to capture her beau as he was getting in the skin of his character. He uploaded another picture with the caption, “Ido Portal. As we started on this movie, the first big question to answer was : How do we create the moves for Shiva’s connection with Fire? Fire being the centre of Shiva’s power in Brahmāstra... a power that comes from ancient Indians, from a deeply spiritual place, from within. I had no reference point for what I had written... No comic books, or existing story on which this was based... but for Shiva’s movements, we needed something that worked amazingly as action entertainment, but also had something deeper, something that was created from a very original spiritual place. It was one of the great fortunes for the movie that I found Ido and understood what he did, and that he agreed to work with Ranbir on this. Our time with Ido has taken us from Phuket to Berlin, Mumbai, Tel Aviv and Sofia... The contribution he has made is to be experienced in the movie... but the joy of collaborations like this, filled with growth and learning, is one of the most wonderful things to have happened on this journey... ????

Brahmastra’s release date was recently postponed from December this year to summer 2020. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles and is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
