Actress and new mom Athiya Shetty melted hearts with her sweet gesture for husband KL Rahul. She took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of him raising his bat in celebration after the win at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, expressing her pride and admiration for his stellar performance.

For the caption, Athiya Shetty kept it short and sweet, writing a mushy message for her husband: “This guy, uff!”

After choosing to bowl first, Delhi Capitals—powered by a strong spin attack from Kuldeep Yadav (2/17) and Vipraj Nigam (2/18)—managed to restrict Royal Challengers Bengaluru to 163/7 in their 20 overs. Despite a fiery 61-run partnership between Phil Salt (37 off 17 balls, including four boundaries and three sixes) and Virat Kohli (22 off 14 balls, with one four and two sixes), RCB couldn’t fully capitalize. Tim David added some late momentum with an unbeaten 37 off 20 balls, smashing two fours and four sixes.

Delhi Capitals found themselves in trouble at 58/4, but KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs steadied the innings with a resilient unbeaten 111-run partnership for the fifth wicket, guiding the team to a convincing victory. Rahul remained not out on 93 off 53 balls, smashing seven fours and six sixes, while Stubbs supported with 38* off 23 deliveries, hitting four boundaries and a six. This marked Delhi’s fourth win of the season.

On the personal front, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty welcomed a baby girl last month. The couple shared the joyful news on Instagram on March 24, posting, “Blessed with a baby girl,” alongside a serene painting of two swans.

On the work front, Athiya Shetty has featured in films such as Hero, Mubarakan (alongside Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor), and Motichoor Chaknachoor. Directed by Debamitra Biswal, Motichoor Chaknachoor was her last onscreen appearance, where she starred opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
