Filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to host a grand bash tonight at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai to celebrate his 50th birthday. The who's who of the industry is expected this grand celebration. Ahead of the celebrations, he had a midnight get-together on Wednesday night which was attended by Apoorva Mehta, Gauri Khan, Manish Malhotra, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Ayan Mukerji, Farah Khan, among others. His childhood friend Apoorva took to social media today to celebrate his friend's day.

Apoorva Mehta, who is Dharma Productions' CEO. shared series of photo memories on Instagram recalling his friendship with his childhood friend Karan Johar. He penned a loving note which read, "For the world, Karan wears many hats... He is an astute businessman, a remarkable filmmaker, a charismatic entertainer, a charming conversationalist, and everyone’s favorite...For me... he is my childhood friend Karu... a constant with many shades of passivity, a kind-hearted companion with a flair for theatrics... he is the life of any party who can get you out of your shell with his childlike innocent humour, and generous love... a friend who holds on and never lets you go, an anchor to a crazy clan, a doting father... and someone who can make you fall in love with love itself..."
