Global actor Anupam Kher has announced his 551st film, Flicker, and unveiled its first poster, marking what he describes as a deeply personal “new beginning” in his cinematic journey.
Taking to Instagram, Kher shared both an emotional note and a striking poster from the film. The monochrome poster features the actor in a flowing traditional outfit, captured mid-motion in what appears to be a whirling dance pose, exuding intensity and spiritual depth. The vintage-toned aesthetic of the poster hints at a layered and introspective narrative.
Alongside the visual reveal, Kher reflected on his decision to embrace challenges and step into unfamiliar territory. “If you don’t challenge yourself, you slowly start repeating yourself,” he wrote, adding that he chose “the harder road” to reinvent not only himself as an actor but also as a person.
Describing Flicker as a search for something “real,” the actor called the film “extraordinary in its spirit” while noting that its preparation has been quiet and focused. While he has chosen to keep the storyline under wraps, Kher assured audiences that the film will leave a lasting impression.
