Veteran actor Anupam Kher is celebrating his 70th birthday in a special and spiritual way. Ahead of his big day, he visited Haridwar’s Ganga Ghat with his mother, friends, and family to offer prayers. Embracing his Sanatani roots, Kher marked the occasion with religious rituals, seeking blessings for the year ahead.

Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a heartfelt post along with a video featuring his different looks over the years. He wrote, “It's my birthday today! 70th! The person who played the role of a 65-year-old man in films at the age of 28, and then mostly played roles of characters older than his age, his youth has just begun! How age is just a number, I am the perfect example for it. Please send me your wishes and blessings! Came to Haridwar with mother, friends, and family! This time the birthday is special, so it will be completely Sanatani! Jai Maa Gange! Har Har Mahadev!”

Anupam Kher, who has entertained audiences for over four decades, remains unstoppable in his craft. He has delivered some of the most iconic performances in Indian cinema, including his debut as an elderly man in Saaransh (1984), which earned him widespread acclaim. He won hearts in films like Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006), A Wednesday! (2008), and Special 26 (2013). His memorable comic roles in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), and ChaalBaaz (1989) further showcased his versatility. He also impressed audiences internationally with Bend It Like Beckham (2002) and Silver Linings Playbook (2012).

On the work front, Anupam Kher's upcoming project includes Metro... In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu. This film is a spiritual sequel to Life in a... Metro (2007) and features an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 5, 2025.
