Anupam Kher, Dev Patel, Armie Hammer, Jason Isaacs make a splash at world premiere of Hotel Mumbai at TIFF 2018 2018 : Bollywood News

Anupam Kher has been keeping busy with his Hollywood life and it is pretty amazing. The veteran actor has been filming his American show, New Amsterdam for over a month now. With that being said, the actor recently flew off to Toronto to attend the premiere of Hotel Mumbai, a new film based on the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The film stars Dev Patel, Jason Isaacs, Nazanin Boniadi, Suhail Nayyar, Manoj Mehra, and Amandeep Singh.

Anupam Kher took to his Instagram account to share a couple of pictures from the world premiere night at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival 2018. He wrote, "Last night at the World premiere of #HotelMumbai at @tiff_net. This brilliant film directed by #AnthonyMaras is an emotional roller coaster. I couldn’t stop crying for almost an hour. I thought of all the people in the world who have lost their dear ones in an act of terrorism. #HotelMumbai is not just a film; it is an emotional tribute to the victims of terrorism and the triumph of human spirit. I am proud to be part of this film. Not only as an actor but also as an Indian."

After a day of press and receiving a positive response from the audience, Anupam further shared more pictures and write, "Thank you @tiff_net for an amazing experience at the world premiere of our movie #HotelMumbai. Thank you to my extended family of #HotelMumbai for the love and warmth. You people are magical on and off camera. See you all soon. Love and respect."

"You had a whole lot of people from different backgrounds, racial, ethnic, from different socio-economic groups who came together in the face of real adversity to survive," Australian director Anthony Maras addressed the audience on September 8.

On the work front, Anupam Kher will star in NBC’s new medical drama, New Amsterdam. The talented actor will be seen portraying yet another challenging role of Neurologist Dr. Vijay Kapoor in the series. Inspired by Bellevue, the oldest public hospital in America, the series is produced by David Schulner, Peter Hortan and Universal Television and directed by Kate Dennis, also stars Freema Agyeman, Ryan Eggold, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims and Tyler Labine.
