Anup Soni shares RARE photo of him and Mandira Bedi from the sets of their 90s show Shanti 90 : Bollywood News

Anup Soni, who is popularly known for shows like CID and Crime Patrol, took to Instagram to give a glimpse of his early days in the television industry. The actor, who has featured in many serials, recalled the time on the sets of the popular and iconic show Shanti, as he posted a fond memory of him alongside the leading lady of the Doordarshan serial, Mandira Bedi.

In this blast from the past monochrome photo, Mandira Bedi is seen dressed in her iconic style of Shanti, sporting a saree, dangler earrings, and open hairdo, whereas Anup Soni is seen in his full sleeves tee. Reminiscing those days from the popular show, the actor also penned a sweet note about this ‘flashback Friday’ post saying, “This #flashbackfriday takes me to the early days of my acting career…This picture was clicked at Rajkamal Studios... with dear Mandira Bedi at the shoot of iconic TV show SHANTI… Grateful for the cherished moments we've shared on and off-screen”. While he also tagged Mandira Bedi in the post, she is yet to respond to the same.

Yesteryear star and veteran actress Deepti Naval was one of the few to have dropped a comment on this lovely post saying, “So charming, both!” Many fans on the platform took a trip down the memory lane as some of them also shared their past memories related to this popular show that aired on Doordarshan.

For the unversed, Shanti was considered to be one of the cult shows of the 90s which portrayed the story of an ambitious journalist who uncovers the deep and dark secrets of the rich and powerful, in her journey to seek revenge from them for raping her mother. The show was considered to be bold for its time and featured some of the most popular actors of the generation which included Yatin Karyekar, Sumukhi Pendse, Amar Talwar, Amit Behl, Rajesh Tailang, Mohini Sharma, among others.
