Actor Anil Kapoor, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Subedaar, took a moment to celebrate a milestone from his digital career. On February 17, 2026, Kapoor marked three years of The Night Manager by sharing a powerful scene from the show on social media — one that, he revealed, resonated closely with his own life journey.

The video clip featured an intense exchange between Kapoor’s character and the one played by Aditya Roy Kapur. But beyond the dramatic tension on screen, it was the emotional undercurrent of the moment that the veteran actor chose to spotlight.
“This Scene Reflected So Much of Where I Began”
In his caption, Kapoor reflected on how the particular scene mirrored his early struggles and personal evolution. “Three years of The Night Manager. This scene reflected so much of where I began in life and in my career. I don’t always like revisiting the past, especially the moments when I was misunderstood or judged for the person I was becoming. People sometimes think they can step on your toes, without realizing what it has taken to get where you are. And then in certain moments the real you surfaces shaped by everything you’ve experienced to stand where you do.”
The actor, who has enjoyed a career spanning over four decades, hinted at the challenges he faced while carving his identity in the industry — moments of being misunderstood and judged as he evolved both personally and professionally.
Kapoor further revealed that while his character in the espionage drama was vastly different from his real-life persona, the emotional essence of the scene felt personal.
“While this character was very different from me, there was something deeply personal in this scene that I connected with. Instead of approaching it with anger or loudness, I chose to express a quieter, more internal truth. Sandeep, the writers and I worked closely on it keeping my own journey and the way I’ve built my personal and professional life in mind while shaping this moment. It means a lot that audiences connected with this scene as deeply as we did while creating it.”
The mention of “Sandeep” refers to director Sandeep Modi, who helmed the Indian adaptation of the acclaimed series.

A Milestone Amid Promotions
Kapoor’s post comes at a time when he is actively promoting Subedaar, adding another chapter to his prolific career. However, his reflection on The Night Manager underscores the continued impact of the series and its layered storytelling.
Originally released in 2023, the Indian adaptation of The Night Manager received widespread acclaim for its performances and sleek treatment of the espionage thriller format. Kapoor’s portrayal of the suave yet menacing antagonist was particularly noted for its restraint and gravitas.
