On September 27, legendary Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor took to Instagram to share a heartfelt reflection on his illustrious journey in the film industry. The versatile actor, known for his iconic roles in numerous Indian films, delved into his experiences as a producer and expressed gratitude for the recent international acclaim of his latest production, Thank You For Coming.

In a series of monochrome pictures from his past movies, Anil Kapoor provided a glimpse into his cinematic voyage. He reminisced about the pivotal moments that moulded his career and spoke of his early exposure to film production through his father, which eventually laid the foundation for his foray into producing.

The actor-turned-producer shared, "I've had a long and eventful journey in this industry, and I've tread many paths as an actor and a producer. Very early on, I was exposed to the life of a producer as I saw my father live it. Its trials, tribulations, and upheavals became a part of our DNA as Boney and I embarked on our first production journeys."

He continued by shedding light on their modest beginnings and hard work, including tasks like fetching coffee, chauffeuring stars, and managing hectic schedules, all while not taking a paycheck. With notable productions like Hum Paanch, Woh Saat Din and Mr. India, the Kapoor brothers quietly established themselves as formidable producers in the industry.

However, it was a pivotal moment, suggested by actor Anupam Kher, that expanded Anil Kapoor's horizons. He revealed, "But it wasn't until Anupam suggested that I listen to Feroz Abbas Khan’s ‘Gandhi My Father’ that I truly dared to dream big. I dreamed of Gandhiji's personal story being acknowledged and applauded on global stages, and even though it won several awards nationally, it couldn't make a mark internationally."

In a touching gesture of appreciation, the 66-year-old actor expressed his gratitude towards his daughter Rhea Kapoor and his son-in-law Karan Boolani for helping him turn his dream into reality. He remarked, "Thanks to my daughter @rheakapoor and my son @karanboolani, I am now living that dream through the incredible reception and appreciation of #ThankYouForComing at #TIFF."

Thank You For Coming is a significant milestone for Anil Kapoor's production company, AKFC, which has produced several memorable films. Featuring a talented ensemble cast including Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila, and Shibani Bedi, the film is set to hit theatres on October 6, much to the anticipation of fans and cinema enthusiasts.

In his closing remarks, Anil Kapoor offered encouragement to all aspiring creators, urging them to persist and have faith in their dreams. As he aptly concluded, "So here's to all the creators out there - persist and have faith... And #ThankYouForComing!"
