Actor Anil Kapoor took a trip down memory lane as his early film Kahan Kahan Se Guzar Gaya completed 45 years. Sharing throwback photographs on Instagram Stories, the actor posted a heartfelt note recalling how the film, which initially struggled to find buyers, eventually became a turning point in his career.
In his note, Kapoor wrote, “45 years ago, a film that had trouble finding buyers finally saw the light of day with just one show, and that one show became a turning point in my life.”
He further added, “Kahan Kahan Se Guzar Gaya gave me an experience that I'm grateful for to this day. Working with M. S. Sathyu, being framed through the lens of Ishan Arya and sharing the screen with Pankaj Kapur - both of us at the very start of our careers - it was nothing short of extraordinary for a young actor at the beginning of his cinematic journey.”
Concluding his note, the 69-year-old actor said, “What began with uncertainty turned into a milestone I will always cherish. Forty-five years later, I look back with immense gratitude for the struggles, the lessons, and the film that shaped my path. #45YearsOfKahanKahanSeGuzarGaya.”
Directed by M. S. Sathyu and shot by cinematographer Ishan Arya, the film featured a young Pankaj Kapur alongside Kapoor. Over the years, it has remained a significant milestone in Kapoor’s journey in cinema, marking his formative years in the industry.
Busy with promotions of Subedaar
The reflection comes at a time when Anil Kapoor is actively promoting his upcoming film Subedaar, which is set to premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video. The trailer of the film was unveiled last week, and the first track, ‘The Lalla Anthem,’ was released recently, featuring cricketer Harbhajan Singh.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, known for his work on Tumhari Sulu, Jalsa, and Daldal, Subedaar is described as a gritty, emotionally driven action drama. The film is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor, and Suresh Triveni under the banner of Opening Image Films, in association with Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network (AKFCN).
Written by Suresh Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekar, the film stars Anil Kapoor and Radhikka Madan in lead roles, with Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik and Mona Singh in pivotal parts. Subedaar will premiere on the OTT platform on March 5.
