It is back to business for the MeToo accused in the film industry. While Sajid Khan is reportedly directing a film and giving anecdotal interviews, after being sacked midway through Housefull 4, a report suggests that Anil Kapoor is likely to opt out of the fifth instalment of the Housefull franchise for monetary reasons.

The truth is a little darker than that. It seems Anil was not comfortable working with Nana Patekar. “Nana, for all his talent, is a MeToo accused. In fact, it is surprising that producer Sajid Nadiadwala has signed him for the franchise after all the accusations that Tanushree Dutta had made,” one of the actors in Housefull 5 observed.

Describing the casting of Nana as the “height of hypocrisy”, the source said, “If you remember, during the making of Housefull 4, Sajid Khan was sacked from the directorial post after he was accused of sexual harassment. Now why is it okay to sign Nana Patekar?”
