Bollywood actor Ananya Panday recently graced the ramp at India Couture Week 2023 in Delhi, where she walked for designer Rimzim Dadu. In an endearing revelation, Ananya shared that she has long looked up to Karisma Kapoor as an inspiration. The young actress even admitted to having a picture of Karisma Kapoor adorning her vanity wall, signifying the admiration and respect she holds for the Bollywood star.

During the FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week (ICW) event, the actor shared her thoughts with PTI, “I have grown up watching Karisma Kapoor's films and I have a picture of her stuck on my vanity van's mirror wall. I just love her fashion. She always has fun with it and sets trends. She has been a huge inspiration.”

“In my personal life, I try not to take it seriously. I like to be as comfortable as possible. I stick to what I like and don't listen to people too much. But as an actor, I think it plays a huge part. I actually truly don't believe in character until I am not in my costume. It can be just a ring or a uniform or something my character wears that instantly transforms me into the feel of that,” she said.

Ananya expressed her admiration for Rimzim's designs, emphasizing her appreciation for the uniqueness and distinctiveness in the creations. She said, “I like how original Rimzim is. When you see one of her pieces, you know that it was designed by her. I love the risk that is taken with structure, fluidity, light, and shadow. She is extremely original and individualistic.”

Up next, the actor will be starring alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in the sequel of Dream Girl. Ananya said, “I am too excited for Dream Girl 2... There are a lot of surprises in the film, so I hope people will run to the theatres to watch it.”

On the professional front, Ananya Panday was last seen in Liger, opposite South sensation Vijay Deverakonda. The actress has wrapped the shoot for her next film, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. She will soon share the screen space with Ayushmann Khurrana in the sequel of Dream Girl. She also has a project titled, Call Me Bae that is slated to release on Amazon Prime Video.
