Bollywood actress Ananya Panday has made her streaming debut with the series Call Me Bae. The show, which premiered on Prime Video on September 6 at midnight, marks a significant step in Panday's career as she ventures into the world of digital entertainment.

The eight-part series follows the journey of Bella Chowdhary, affectionately known as Bae, as she transitions from an heiress to a determined hustler navigating the bustling streets of Mumbai. The series ends with a potential hope for a second season. In an interview with Variety, Ananya Panday said, “We aren’t done with the show and these characters, and we’re almost waiting to come back. If the audience loves it enough, which hopefully they do, then we’ll be more than happy to come back.”

Directed by Collin D'Cunha and created by Ishita Moitra, Call Me Bae is a light-hearted comedy-drama set against the contrasting backdrops of Delhi’s high society and Mumbai’s fast-paced life. The series is produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, with Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra serving as executive producers.

The show’s ensemble cast includes Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur in pivotal roles. The series premiered on Prime Video on September 6, 2024, in Hindi, with dubs available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
