For the unversed, as per the policy, users who were verified under the previous system would lose their blue tick if they failed to subscribe to Twitter Blue prior to April 20. To obtain a blue badge on your profile, payment is now required. In India, Twitter Blue is available for a monthly fee of ₹650 on the web and ₹900 on mobile devices.

Coming back to AB’s remark on the same, he tweeted in Bhojpuri which translates into English: “Hey Twitter Bro! Are you listening? Now I have paid for the subscription too… please put back that blue tick next to my name so that people know I am the real Amitabh Bachchan.. Requesting with folded hands. Do I need to bow down on your feet too?”
