Ambrish Verma, the writer, director, and lead actor of Sapne Vs Everyone, has shared an emotional thank-you video on Instagram in response to the overwhelming reception to Season 2 on Prime Video.
“I can’t thank every one of you enough for what has happened in terms of the viewership, the sheer amount of DMs that I have received, the ratings that have been shown on IMDb, and the amount of stuff being created and put out on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. I personally didn’t think it was possible,” he said.
Verma also spoke about what the response means given the show’s modest production scale. “Sapne was made in probably 20% of the money that most flagship shows are made, and if the budget is 20%, then the marketing budget is also proportionate. From that to the level of response which came out… I just can’t thank you all enough,” he said.
On what the success has given him as a creator, he added, “It just gives you so much heart. It makes you so much braver, and it makes you hope so much for whatever you do in the future. You think that anything is possible.”
Verma ended the video confirming he is already working on his next project, with a promise to bring something “even more interesting” for audiences. Sapne Vs Everyone Season 1 premiered on TVF’s YouTube channel in December 2023 before moving to Prime Video. Season 2 is now streaming on Prime Video.
