In a heartwarming revelation, renowned Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt recently shared an endearing anecdote about a special birthday gift from her actor-husband, Ranbir Kapoor. The couple was working together on the film Brahmastra when this heartwarming incident unfolded.
During an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Alia Bhatt recounted how Ranbir Kapoor orchestrated one of her most cherished birthday moments. She disclosed that while they were shooting for the Ayan Mukerji directed fantasy action adventure Brahmastra, Ranbir went the extra mile to make her birthday truly remarkable.
Alia described how Ranbir surprised her by having her favourite cake transported all the way from London to Bulgaria, where they were filming. The cake, a milk cake from the renowned café Leto in London, held a special place in Alia's heart. “The best gift I have gotten was from my husband, he was my boyfriend at that point of time,” Alia shared with a smile. She continued, “We were shooting a movie in Bulgaria and there is this particular cake that I am obsessed with in London from a cafe called Leto. It’s a milk cake.”
The actress was evidently overjoyed by the heartfelt gesture, so much so that she decided to keep the delectable treat all to herself. Alia confessed, “He flew the cake down from London to Bulgaria so I could cut it on my birthday and eat it for two days! I literally did not share it, not even with him, I didn’t share it with anyone!”
For the unversed, Bollywood couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied knot in a close-knit wedding. The couple embraced parenthood and welcomed their daughter Raha last year in November 2022, and made the announcement through social media.
Alia Bhatt was recently seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film released in theatres on July 28, 2023, and received rave reviews from critics. She was also seen in her Hollywood debut Heart of Stones. In her pipeline, she also has director Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar alongside Shraddha Kapoor. The film was directed by Luv Ranjan, produced by Luv Films’, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by T- Series’ Bhushan Kumar. TJMM received rave reviews and did well at the box office. Ranbir also has Animal in the pipeline alongside Rashmika Mandanna. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Tripti Dimri.
