Several Bollywood celebs have lauded Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail. Recently Alia Bhatt had praised the film and now joining the bandwagon is Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone. The film is currently streaming on Disney + Hotstar.

Expressing her support, Deepika reposted Alia Bhatt's review of the movie and added her thoughts, saying, “+1. I couldn't agree more. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew.”

The film, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, has been receiving widespread acclaim for its storyline and powerful performances. Vikrant Massey, who plays a pivotal role in the movie, has garnered appreciation for his portrayal of a character navigating the challenges of life.

It is noteworthy that Deepika Padukone has a previous collaboration with Vikrant Massey in the 2019 drama Chhapaak, where she not only starred but also backed the project.

12th Fail is based on the life of the real-life IPS (Indian Police Service) officer Manoj Kumar Sharma. It told the story of the obstacles he faced in achieving his goal to be an IPS officer by never giving up. The film is adapted from author Anurag Pathak’s book of the same name, which tells the story of Sharma.

12th Fail also stars Medha Shankar as Massey’s love interest along with Sanjay Joshi, Anant V Joshi and Anshumaan Pushkar.

On the film front, Deepika will be soon seen in Fighter. The film features Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the role of Indian Air Force Officers, along with Anil Kapoor as their Captain. The film also stars Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Sheikh, among others in key roles and it is slated for release on January 25.
