Ali Fazal ‘regrets’ opting out of Fukrey 3; wants to learn to balance Hollywood and Bollywood from Priyanka Chopra Jonas 3 : Bollywood News

Although he started off as a Bollywood actor, Ali Fazal is currently dabbling between two industries and two continents. The actor has been receiving a lot of interesting opportunities to work with some of the biggest stars like Judi Dench, Vin Diesel and the recent Gerard Butler in Hollywood. In a recent interview, the actor confessed that he regretted letting go off the Fukrey franchise, as the third installment of the film, Fukrey 3, went on floors. The actor also talked about how he finds it difficult to balance the two industries and expressed her desire to learn it from Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Readers would be aware that Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been dabbling between industries as well as her entrepreneurial ventures for the past few years. Talking about the same, Ali Fazal said, “So, half my time goes in Hollywood, and the remaining half, I spend here in India. It becomes a bit of a struggle when you’re alone, trying to dabble with these two industries. I wish I had a reference point of sorts. Maybe I should take advice from Priyanka Chopra (laughs). But let’s see how that goes,” Ali Fazal told Hindustan Times.

In the same interview, the actor also opened up about regretting not doing Fukrey 3. For the unversed, the film has remained to be special for the actor in many ways. Interestingly, he also met his wife and co-actress Richa Chadha during the shoot of the first installment that released in 2013. He said, “It was a big and the toughest decision I had to make. Opting out of Fukrey 3 has been my biggest regret so far.”

Furthermore, he also confessed about losing out on other projects including a film with his favourite filmmaker Homi Adajania. He added, “There was another project being helmed by Homi Adajania. He is one of my most favourite directors. I’ve been a big fan of his work since always, but I couldn’t be a part of what he was making.”

Ali Fazal was last seen in a grey-shaded role in the Hollywood film Kandahar alongside Gerard Butler, which is directed by Ric Roman Waugh. The film released on May 26 this year.
